Billie Gene Sams, 84, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Sams was born April 17, 1924, in Miller County, Ark. He was retired from Parks Metal Fabricators and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Sams.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Billy Dale and Rita Sams; two brothers, J.B.
