Shelby Jean Akins, 71, of Fouke, Ark., died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Akins was born Nov. 13, 1936, in Fouke. She was retired from Glass Pharmacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Akins; and one daughter, Janet Akins.

Survivors include one son, Roy Joe Akins Jr.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Cathy and Ronnie Roberts and Nona McCommas of Texarkana and Connie Alton of Fouke; two sisters, Sherry Potts and Dianne Pritchett of Texarkana; two brothers, Jackie Pilgreen of Fouke and Tommy Pilgreen of Texarkana; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
