Govan Johns, 81, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Johns was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Naples, Texas. He was a Mason and a member of Mount Orange Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma L. Johns.

Survivors include two sons, Randolph Johns of Austin and Ricky Joe Davis of Texarkana; three daughters, Evelyn A. Williams and Jackie E. Johns of Texarkana, and Cynthia A.
