NASHVILLE, Ark.—Mamie Lorene Copeland Jones, 95, of Nashville died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, after a short illness. Mrs. Jones was born Oct. 19, 1912, in County Line community. She was a retired managing dietitian for Nashville Nursing Home and a member of Gleamers Sunday School Class, Nashville Senior Citizens Center, Howard County Children’s Center and Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include eight children, S.C. “Sonny” Jones of Mansfield, Texas, Virginia Miller of West Columbia, S.C., Vivian Pope of Mineral Springs, Ark., Connie Westbrook of Conway, Ark., Annette St. Louis of New Boston, Texas, and Johnnie Owens, Marjorie Hopper and Janie Sartin of Longview, Texas; one special friend, Merle Stuckey of Nashville; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Green officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park under direction of Latimer Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 315 W. Immanuel St., Nashville, AR 71852.
