HAZEL SMITH

Hazel E. Smith, 87, of Genoa, Ark., died Friday, July 4, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Smith was born March 28, 1921, in Miller County, Ark. She was a former employee with Genoa Central School cafeteria and a member of Genoa Central Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Smith; and one son, Roger Smith.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Tracy and Shirley Smith of Frisco, Texas, Sidney and Gloria Smith of Fouke, Ark., Larry Smith of Whitehouse, Texas, and Lowell and Lynn Smith of Leander, Texas; one daughter, Jewellene Starling of Genoa; one stepsister, Lucy Fultz of Central, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Genoa Central Church of Christ with David Adams officiating. Burial will be in Central Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
