IDABEL, Okla.—Hilda Wade Gilpin, 75, of Idabel died Thursday, July 3, 2008.

Mrs. Gilpin was born Nov. 30, 1932, in Tom, Okla. She was a writer and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by one husband, Herman Farley.

Survivors include her husband, Orley Gilpin of Idabel; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Wade Farley of Tom, Randy and Patricia Farley of Los Angeles and Will Gilpin of Grand Prairie, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and David Webb of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Bates of Tom; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services were Monday at Tom Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Underwood officiating. Burial was in Tom Cemetery.
