NAPLES, Texas—William Carol “Bill” Hicks, 81, of Anaheim, Calif., died Saturday, June 21, 2008, in Anaheim.

Mr. Hicks was born May 25, 1927, in Cass County, Texas. He was a retired toolmaker, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Hicks, in 2006.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Tina Hicks of Fullerton, Calif.; two brothers, Waylon Hicks of Vienna, Va., and Richard Hicks of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one sister, Gertie Lou Moore of Dallas; one grandson, Damian Hicks of Fullerton; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, Texas, with the Rev. David Hazelwood officiating. Burial will be under direction of Harrison Funeral Home.
