Annie B. Miles, 76, of DeKalb, Texas, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at her home.

Ms. Miles was born Oct. 15, 1931, in DeKalb. She was a retired schoolteacher, a member of Retired Teacher’s Association of Texas, Prairie View A&M Alumni, Marvin Pynes Alumni Association, Bowie County Precinct 20 Polling Site Team and Bethlehem Baptist Church, DeKalb.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Miles of Sugarland, Texas; one sister, Joyce Jackson of Midway City, Okla.; one special cousin, Byron McGown of DeKalb; and two grandchildren.

Closed casket services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Baker officiating. Burial will be in Harrell Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
