JEFFERSON, Texas—Dorothy Pearl Friday, 58, of Marshall, Texas, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in a Longview, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Friday was born Aug. 29, 1949, in Jefferson. She was a chemical lab technician and a member of Judea Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Courtney Alexander; two daughters, Sondra Friday and Sharlette Friday; her mother, Rosie Singleton; three brothers, Darrell Singleton, Alfonzo Singleton and Stacy Singleton; six sisters, Anna Rose, Barbara Friday, Gwendolyn Jackson, Quencetta Ogans, Debra Singelton and Linda Armington; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson Middle School with the Rev. Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Judea Cemetery under direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home.

Viewing will be noon to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
