Leannett Roberts, 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, July 7, 2008, in a local hospital.

Ms. Roberts was born June 15, 1929, in Sugarhill, Ark. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church, Missionary Society and Toast Masters. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roberts; one son, Jesse D. Henderson; and one daughter, Pamela E. Markcray.

Survivors include five sons, Harlan Markcray, Frank Roberts and Johnny Roberts of Texarkana, Cedric Markcray of Longview, Texas, and Floyd Roberts of Columbia, Md.; four daughters, Patricia Wade of Dallas, Corlis Roberts of Duncanville, Texas, and Rephonnie Roberts and Alice Roberts of Texarkana; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bibleway Ministries with the Rev. C.D. Walker Jr. and Bishop David E. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
