Lula M. Hooper Griffin, 93, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, June 27, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Griffin was born Nov. 15, 1914, in Texarkana. She was a member of Walker Chapel CME Church.

Survivors include one uncle, Jasper Hooper of Texarkana; two nephews, George Hooper Jr. of Los Angeles and Paul M. Dean of Texarkana; and two nieces, Cora M. Walker of Texarkana and Bettie Faye Hooper of Las Vegas.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Haynes Mortuary with the Rev. Johnny L. Stuart officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
