MILLIE McKELLAR
DE QUEEN, Ark.—Mellodean “Millie” Crow McKellar, 79, of Lockesburg, Ark., died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. McKellar was born March 5, 1929, in Provo, Ark. She was a homemaker, a farmer, former president of Democratic Central Committee, co-founder of Lockesburg Riding Club and a member of Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and former youth director. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McKellar, in January 2005. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Frank “Bob” and Jackie McKellar of Lockesburg; one daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. Ann and James Holley of Lockesburg; one sister, Peggy Joyce Whatley of Bloomburg, Texas; two brothers, Kenneth Crow and Gail Crow of Provo; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Elder Kenneth Keith and the Revs. Ann Holley and Mike Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Falls Chapel Cemetery under direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
