IDABEL, Okla.—Ruthie Lee Presley Cox, 88, of Foreman, Ark., died Sunday, July 6, 2008, in Ashdown, Ark.

Mrs. Cox was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Daisetta, Texas. She was a retired nurse, formerly employed with Visalia Community Hospital and a member of Eastern Star, Haworth, Okla., and the Episcopal Church of Idabel, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Webber Lee Cox; one son, Earnest “Sonny” Cox; and one grandson, Ken Randall Cox.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donnie Cox and Dwight and Ruby Cox of Haworth; one daughter, Shirley Cox Hawkins of Foreman, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services were July 8 at Conley-White Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Woods and Howard Hill officiating. Burial was in Haworth Cemetery.
