Bennie Harold Duck Sr., 73, of Wake Village, Texas, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Duck was born Dec. 9, 1934, in Linden, Texas. He was owner of National Tool Co., former mayor of Nash, Texas, a former member of Liberty-Eylau School Board and a member of Rhema Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Clydine Duck of Wake Village; one son and daughter-in-law, Bennie Jr. and Veronica Duck of Houston; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Chip Bricker of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Lane Bricker, Ben Bricker, Alex Duck and Jamison Duck; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Jesse Haynes and Bill Saxby officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
