STAMPS, Ark.—John B. Burton III, 73, of Magnolia, Ark., died Saturday, July 12, 2008, in a Bossier City, La., nursing home.

Mr. Burton was born Dec. 21, 1934, in Hope, Ark. He was a retired CPA.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Vickers Burton of Magnolia; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kim Burton of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Dr. Susan Burton of Star, Miss.; one sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Dr. Charles Cross of Greensboro, N.C.; one granddaughter, Kayla Burton of Shreveport; two nieces, Patricia and Elizabeth; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
