ATLANTA, Texas—Dennis Michael Yates, 50, of Shreveport, La., died Sunday, July 13, 2008, in Shreveport.

Mr. Yates was born Jan. 19, 1958, in Atlanta. He worked for Willis-Knighton Piermont.

Survivors include his parents, Neal and Bonnie Yates of Atlanta; one brother, Butch Yates of Atlanta; one sister, Beverly Gibbs of Atlanta; one nephew, James Kevin Gibbs of Texarkana; and one niece, Karen Carroll of Texarkana.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hanner Funeral Service with the Revs. D.A. Lewis and Jeff Story officiating. Burial will be in Huffines Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
