Jimmy Dell McGuire, 59, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. McGuire was born July 15, 1948, in Camden, Ark. He was a member of Eylau First Baptist Church and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Christy McGuire of Fouke, Ark.; one daughter, DeAnna McGuire of The Woodlands, Texas; his mother, Gene McGuire of Texarkana; one brother, Ronnie McGuire of Texarkana; one sister, Gail Brazelton of Irving, Texas; one granddaughter, Emily McGuire; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with military rites.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
