MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Robert Lester Belcher, 65, of Mount Pleasant died Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Mount Pleasant.

Mr. Belcher was born April 1, 1943. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jeannie Hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Belcher of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Tracy Thomas of Mount Pleasant and Tina Walker of Cookville, Texas; six sons, Loyd W. Belcher of Florida, Barry Johnson of Texarkana, Bill Brown of Longview, Texas, and Charley Brown, Robert Belcher and Bobby Belcher of Mount Pleasant; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Gib Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Bridges Chapel Cemetery.
