MARSHALL, Texas—Georgia Pauline Cherry, 84, of Marshall died Sunday, July 13, 2008.

Mrs. Cherry was born March 25, 1924, in Vian, Okla. She was a member of Ruth Sunday School Class and Immanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tom” W. Cherry; and one daughter, Susie Coffman.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Cherry of Louisville, Miss., and Eddie Cherry of Marshall; one daughter, Donna Morton of Marshall; one brother, Leroy Eachers of Arlington, Texas; four sisters, Vernie Franklin of Bakersfield, Calif., Billie Waldrop of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Diane Eachers and Janice Eachers of California; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Downs Funeral Home with Dr. Franklin Anderson and the Rev. Carlton Burris officiating. Burial will be in Gill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
