NANCY BURKE

HOPE, Ark.—Nancy Marie Brown Burke, 56, of Washington, Ark., died Thursday, July 17, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Burke was born Sept. 17, 1951, in Hope. She was a transcriptionist for Dr. Michael Young and former funeral director for Brazzel Funeral Homes, former member of Burke Quartet and Nevada County Fair Parade chairman, and member of Boughton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Joey Burke.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Richard Joe Burke of Washington; one daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Shawn Cuthbertson of Queen Creek, Ariz.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Diane Brown of Ashdown, Ark., and Rev. Joe and Betty Brown of Bodcaw, Ark.; one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Rev. Billy Russell of Bodcaw; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with the Revs. John Nations and Jonathan Russell officiating. Burial will be in Nubbin Hill Cemetery, Prescott.
