WAYNE MOUNSEY

Wayne Mounsey, 88, of Wake Village, Texas, died Thursday, July 17, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Mounsey was born June 28, 1920, in Tulsa, Okla. He was a retired postal service clerk, member of Hardy Memorial Methodist Church and a World War II Army Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Mounsey; one son, Charles Eugene Mounsey; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Billy Finney of Vancleave, Miss.; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Michael Wayne Mounsey of Chino Valley, Ariz., David and Karon Mounsey of Texarkana, Brian and Denise Mounsey of Prescott, Ark., and Bruce and Ivy Mounsey of Round Rock, Texas; one sister, Joanna Buttram of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Garry Masterson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The family will be at 302 Redwater Rd., Wake Village, TX.
