ROBERTA BOYD

Roberta Boyd, 85, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, July 13, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Ms. Boyd was born April 17, 1923, in Hope, Ark. She was retired from Day & Zimmerman.

Survivors include two brothers, Roy L. Batts of Hot Springs, Ark., and Geady Batts of Texarkana; and seven sisters, Artella Yarber of Texarkana, Gracie L. Minnifeild of Phoenix, Ariz., Annie B. Scales, Dorothy Evans, Coreane Baker and Robbie Thompson of Calif., and Helen Cooks of Chicago.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Mount Grove Baptist Church with R. Reed officiating. Burial will be in Fair Haven Cemetery under direction of Jones Funeral Home.
