DIANA, Texas—Bobby Phillips, 78, of Longview, Texas, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his home.

The Rev. Phillips was a retired minister with Lakeview Baptist Church, Ore City, Texas, a former minister with Pine Street Baptist Mission, Winnsboro, Texas, and other churches, a deacon, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, Longview.

Survivors include his wife, June Burke Phillips; four children, Paul Phillips of Ore City, Dr. Robert Sanders of Atlanta, Tim Phillips of Gilmer, Texas, and Robert Phillips of Kilgore, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Dust of Pocahontas, Ark., and Ruth Beal of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Ore City, with the Rev. Tom Roberson and Paul Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Ore City Cemetery under direction of Grubb-Loyd Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
