IDABEL, Okla.—Edith Overbey, 89, of Haworth, Okla., died Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Texarkana.

Mrs. Overbey was born April 30, 1919, in Tellico Plains, Tenn. She was a homemaker, a foster parent and a member of Haworth Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John F. Overbey of Haworth; one son, John M. Overbey of Crossett, Ark.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Janice K. and Larry McCall of Macomb, Okla., and Kimberley Overbey of Texarkana; one sister, Lillie Hill of Haworth; three grandchildren, Blake Overbey, Chad Overbey and Jacob Overbey of Crossett; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Conley-White Funeral Home with Richard Sullivant and Doug Clements officiating. Burial will be in Denison Cemetery.
