James David Pruitt, 82, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Pruitt was retired from the Navy.

Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Sherman Pruitt of Texarkana and Dave and Mabell Pruitt of Baxley, Ga.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Herring of Red Oak, Texas, Jeanne and Pat Robertson of Texarkana, and Glenda and Ken Gray of Hooks, Texas; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Concord Cemetery, Fouke, Ark. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
