Mary Alice Jones, 59, of Stamps, Ark., died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Jones was born April 8, 1949, in Stamps. She was an employee of Southwest Arkansas Development Council Headstart and a member of Greenville Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess and member of Sisters In the Spirit, Young Matrons and Senior Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jones.

Survivors include one daughter, LaTietia McDonald of Stamps; one brother, Calvin Cummings of Texas; one sister, Bonnie Daniels of Stamps; two grandchildren, Briana McDonald and LaBridon McDonald of Stamps; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenville Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Neich Robinson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Stamps, under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
