STAMPS, Ark.—Marvelene K. Whitley, 77, of Taylor, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Whitley was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Walker Creek, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Whitley of Taylor; two brothers, Butch Keith of Springhill, La., and Delbert Keith of Taylor; five sisters, Easter Mae Perry of Stilwell, Okla., Hattie C. Carter of Plain Dealing, La., Layvone Lane of Taylor, Della Faye Denmon of Shreveport, La., and Lucille Martin of Springhill; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard and Velveline Whitley of Taylor; one special nephew, Westley Martin of Taylor; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Chet Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the church.
