DIERKS, Ark.—Nora Bell Strasner Bearden, 95, of Umpire, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Bearden was born March 22, 1913, in Umpire. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Umpire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jackson “Pete” Bearden on April 29, 1994.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Chyleen Bearden of Broken Bow, Okla., and Wade and Sheila Bearden and Gary and Janette Bearden of Umpire; one sister, Carrie Krantz of Dierks; one sister-in-law, Nellie Lord of Dierks; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
