CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Veda M. King, 83, of Clarksville died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, in a Paris, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. King was born May 12, 1925, in Clarksville. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth King.

Survivors include her husband, Wilson King of Clarksville; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Rice officiating. Burial will be in New Shamrock Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
