ATLANTA, Texas—Maxine Jones Luckey, 91, of Marietta, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, in a Linden, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Luckey was born Nov. 24, 1916, in Marietta. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and Floyd Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Vernita Steger of Douglassville, Texas, and Callie Washington and Clora Oliver of Marietta; four sons, Willie Lee Luckey, Oscar Luckey Jr. and Whalen Luckey Sr. of Marietta and Theotis Luckey of Dallas; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and...
