DEWEY DIXON

PRESCOTT, Ark.—George “Dewey” Dixon, 88, of Gurdon, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in an Arkadelphia, Ark., hospital.

Mr. Dixon was born March 26, 1920. He was a retired locomotive engineer with Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member of First United Methodist Church, Gurdon, and a World War II Army Air Corp veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Francis Dixon of Gurdon; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kay and Charles Hogue of Sherwood, Ark., and Beverly Baggett of Little Rock; two sisters, Mary Harris and Betty Jones; one brother, Grady Dixon; three grandchil...
