FORT PAYNE, Ala.—Michael W. Cryer, 53, of Fort Payne, formerly of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Cryer was employed with Fed-Ex Freight, Chattanooga, Tenn., and a former professional musician.

Survivors include his wife, Tena R. Cryer of Mentone, Ala.; one sister, Sharon Yoder of Fort Payne; one brother, David Cryer of Fort Payne; his mother, Dessie Brown of Mentone; two nieces, Danyale Kyles and Alex Wooten; and one nephew, Glenn Cryer.
