HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Swanee Kay Hollis, 96, of Avinger, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in a Linden, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Hollis was born Oct. 30, 1911, in the Liberty community near Avinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.E. Hollis; two children, Tommy Joe and Kay Hollis; and one great-grandchild, Jeffrey Phillips.
