MURFREESBORO, Ark.—Bobby Joe Flaherty, 81, of Murfreesboro died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Flaherty was born March 28, 1927, in Murfreesboro. He was a retired heavy-equipment operator for Arkansas Highway Department and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis White Flaherty.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bobby Wayne Flaherty and Michael and Gay Flaherty of Murfreesboro; one brother, Jimmy Dale Flaherty of Murfreesboro; and one grandson, Shawn Flaherty of Magnolia, Ark.
