PRESCOTT, Ark.—Laverne Glass Pruitt, 78, of Caney, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, in a Hope, Ark., hospital.

Mrs. Pruitt was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Laneburg, Ark. She was a homemaker, seamstress and caregiver and a member of Morris Baptist Church, Caney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Pruitt, in 1986; and one great-grandson, Tyler Gourley.
