HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Mary Kathryn Ward, 66, of Houston died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, in a Houston hospital.

Mrs. Ward was born Jan. 5, 1942, in Mansfield, La.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Martin of Houston and Susan Lafitte of Daingerfield, Texas; one son, Enoch Martin of Houston; three brothers, Albert Lafitte, Don Lafitte and Ron Lafitte of Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Carolyn Lafitte of Shreveport and Bertha Harris of Daingerfield; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
