LINDEN, Texas—Verbe Norman, 91, of Linden, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, in an Atlanta, Texas, hosptial.

Mr. Norman was born June 30, 1917, in Pittsburg, Texas. He was a self-employed building contractor, a bail bondsman, a contractor for Jim Walter Homes and a member of Retired Teachers Association, Western Cass Water Supply Board, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6968, Summer Youth Workforce Program and Macedonia Baptist Church, Linden.

Survivors include his wife, Iona Joyce Pruitt Norman of Linden; two daughters, Verlene L. Houston of Dallas and Jacquelyn Faye Norm...
