Welton Black, 60, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Black was born April 23, 1948, in Texarkana, Ark. He was retired from the Federal Correctional Institution, a member of Macedonia Male Chorus and Macedonia Baptist Church and a Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Annie L. Black of Texarkana; three sons, Kirt Black and Nagoouria “Worm” Black of Texarkana and TeCorey Pree of Houston; one daughter, Negeurria “CoCo” Black of Texarkana; one sister, Sherrie Carr of Hopatcong, N.J.; six grandchildren; and a number of other...
