Cledis L. Washington Sr., 56, of Flint, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Washington was born Oct. 26, 1951, in Nash, Texas. He was a former teacher, an insurance agent and a Sunday school teacher and member of North Tenaha Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Lauretta Washington of Flint; two sons, Cledis Washington Jr. and Jason Lee Washington of Tyler; one daughter, Lorie L.
