DE QUEEN, Ark.—Frances Anita Prothro Knod, 92, of De Queen died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Springfield, Ill.

Mrs. Knod was born in El Dorado, Ark. She was retired from the De Queen Public School System and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Melbert Knod; and one son, William Frederick Knod II.

Survivors include one son, Edward M. Knod Jr.; one daughter, Anita Lynn Knod; one sister, Mary Lynn Davis; two daughters-in-law, Judy Grant Knod and Patricia Kolesar Knod; and three grandchildren.
