Given Burris, 85, of Ogden, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Burris was born Nov. 26, 1922, in McCurtain County, Okla. He was a retired automobile mechanic, a member of Church of God in Christ and a World War II Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florene Burris; and one son, James Burris.

Survivors include four sons, Chester Burris, Roy Burris and Rocky Burris of Ogden and Bobby Burris of Ashdown, Ark.; five daughters, Shirley Burris, Mary Greene and Cynthia Williams of Ogden, Verlyn Gulley of Fayette, Ark., and Rhonda Smith of Texar...
