Eddie Jane Smith Hendrix, 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hendrix was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Avery, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan Bailey Hendrix Sr.
