John Wayne Calhoun Jr., 44, of Templeton, Calif., died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Calhoun was born Oct. 25, 1963, in Texarkana, Ark. He was an assistant manager at Best Western Cavalier and a Baptist.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Walls of Texarkana; one son, Christopher Calhoun of Templeton; one brother, Donald Calhoun of Garden City, Kan.; three sisters, Kay Johnson of Nash, Texas, Stephanie Hale and Belinda Calhoun of Texarkana; one stepbrother, Mike Hiner of Garden City; one stepsister, Angie Miles of Wichita, Kan....
