Donald Ford Joiner Sr., 90, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, in a local retirement center.

Mr. Joiner was born Aug. 19, 1918, in West Monroe, La. He was retired from International Paper, a deacon at Highland Park Baptist Church and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie White Joiner.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Rogers of Texarkana; three sons, Donald Joiner Jr. of Kershaw, S.C., and James Joiner and Steven Joiner of Texarkana; two brothers, Jim Cranford of Metairie, La., and Joe Cranford of Florida...
