ROBERT MURPHY

LINDEN, Texas—Robert “Bob” Edward Murphy, 80, of Huntsville, Ala., died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, in a Huntsville nursing home.

Mr. Murphy was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Leeds, S.D. He was a geologist at Chevron, a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Wommack Murphy.

Survivors include one son, Chris Murphy of Dallas; and a number of other relatives.
