JEFFERSON, Texas—Nevada Sloan, 98, of Jefferson died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Sloan was born Jan. 7, 1910, in Marshall, Texas. She was a seamstress and a member of Bear Springs Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Joy Marshall; two daughters, Bobbie Jean Johnson and Ella Jean Lacy; 36 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bear Springs Church of Christ. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery, Marshall, under direction of...
