Shelia F. Easter-Medlin, 57, of DeSoto, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, in Dallas.

Mrs. Easter-Medlin was born May 19, 1951, in DeKalb, Texas. She was retired from the Army and a member of Eastern Star, Penelope Chapter, and Union Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas.

Survivors include her husband, James Anthony Medlin of Oak Park, Mich.; two sons, Donald L. Smith II of DeSoto and Aswad Smith of Winter Park, Fla.; one daughter, Tahirah M.
