LINDEN, Texas—Michael Dean Barney, 49, of Linden died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008.

Mr. Barney was born Feb. 17, 1959, in Logan, Iowa. He was a job superintendent with Kanza Construction Co., formerly employed with Logan Produce, a farmer, a rancher and a Lutheran.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Barney of Linden; three sons, Mitchell Barney of Alva, Okla., and Matthew Barney and Marshall Barney of Logan, Iowa; his mother, Mary Jean Barney of Logan; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Alan Zacharias of Omaha, Neb.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve and Judy Ad...
