Betty Jane Salazar, 80, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Salazar was born May 15, 1928, in Texarkana. She was an accountant, an auditor, a member of Quilt Guild of Fort Worth, Texas, and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Armando “Sal” Salazar of Texarkana; one daughter, Sandra McLaughlin of Texarkana; one son, BJ Thomas of Houston; one sister and brother-in-law, Emogene and James Russell; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, William Ryan and Judy Hipps of Houston; and two great-grandchildren, Christina and Dylan Hipps of Houst...
