EL DORADO, Ark.—Norma V. Nelson, 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Ms. Nelson was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo. She was a retired Texarkana College physical education teacher and a member of Retired Teachers Association, National Tennis Association and Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

Survivors include a number of relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery with Dan Williams officiating. Burial will be under direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
